I love to watch and photograph creation, from birds to animals, plants to bugs and butterflies. This morning I set out to see a green heron(rare in our parts) It was too late to get there and back by public transport so came home again. I feel that photographs of nature have the power to heal. Not physical ailmets but emotional and psycological problems, nature in conjunction with the word and spirit of God. The beauty of nature( though fallen) is so powerful. Now I don't know much about blogs so I will wait and see what happens. Dave.

only way?

I know there is only one path to get to a certain best nice place.

There are no other streets to take to get there, and you can only get
there by walking on the one path.

Once on the one path there are some paths they leave the path, but
they lead to paths that only lead to parks, so you can turn around
and get back on the one path.

The certain nice best place is so beautiful that I decide to leave
many maps behind that shows the only path to the certain best nice
place, with a message that you can only find the certain best nice
place by walking on the only path.

So someone else finds the map and decides to take a car to the one
best nice place. They drive all around the area of the certain best
nice place but never find it, so they decide it was a lie or a myth
and decide to write a book telling everyone there is no certain best
nice place.

Another person finds the map to the certain best nice place, and they
find the one path and start walking down it but take one of the side
paths to the park and decides to stay there believing they found the
certain best nice place, but they never turn around and walk the only
path to the certain best nice place. But since they think it is the
certain best nice place they too write a book about the joy they found
at the "wrong" certain best nice place, and tell everyone how to get
to the "wrong" certain best nice place.

Finally someone else finds the map with the message and walks down
the only path and sometimes goes to the parks but turns around and
get on the one path and eventually gets to the certain best nice
place and loves it so much decides to share it with all his friends
by writing a book that has the map in it with the message in it.

There are now three books claiming to be the truth, but only one of
them contains the actual truth, which one will you follow?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17 The King
James Version (Authorized))

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have
known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen
him. (John 14:6-7 King James Version (Authorized))

Here is what some of the story above means in more detail.

The only one path is Christ and His Gospel message.

The certain best nice place is Heaven.

The maps with their message is the Scriptures.

The first person who uses a car to find the certain best nice place,
is anyone who tries to find out what is their best reason for living
on their own.

The second person is anyone who finds the Gospel message and wants to
go to heaven but tries to get there on their own.

The third person is anyone who finds the Gospel message and accepts
it and asks God for forgiveness of their own sins, and accepts Christ
into their lives; and then tries to follow Christ in every area of
their lives until Christ brings them to Heaven.

I think forgiving someone is hard for a lot of people. Some people are naturally inclined to forgive others but I'm not one of those (I wasn't gifted that way).

I know I'm instructed to forgive by God's word. If you search the word forgive on www.biblegateway.com there are 116 results so I know it's important if it's mentioned that many times.

Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (NIV)

So according to God's word I'm instructed to forgive those who sin against me and if I don't then my sins won't be forgiven. That is easier said than done!

Depending on who sinned against you and what the sin was it can seem next to impossible. It took me a really long time to come to a place where I could forgive my father for sinning against me. Well at least I think I have. I don't know though because I keep questioning it.

I'm sure everyone does that right? For some reason I have an idea in my head that some sins just should not have to be forgiven. It's not fair! It's not fair that some people can do horrible things and all they have to do is say oops I'm sorry please forgive me and they are off the hook? :biggrin_25513:

I know I am not without sin and I have been forgiven for much. John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

So who am I to judge what sins should be forgiven and not be forgiven? A sin is a sin right? NO difference. I wonder though if it will always be a constant struggle to keep reminding myself that I have forgiven or if I have truly forgiven someone that I shouldn't have to do that? :biggrin_2554:

So my prayer is:

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. :yes2557:

Luke 4:17-21 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
To the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all-them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Luke 10:25-28
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
And he (Jesus) said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Luke 10:29-37
But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
v30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment (made him poor), and wounded him (he needed to be healed), and departed, leaving him half dead (he needed to be set at liberty from death).
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the
Other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw
Him, he had compassion on him, and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Are we showing and teaching people with our lives how to Love the Lord their God with all their heart, and with all their soul, and with all their strength, and with all their mind; and their neighbour as themselves? Are we telling the poor how not to be poor (God’s way) and healing the brokenhearted? Are we telling the captives how to become free and binding the wounds of those who are bruised? Are we healing in the power and authority of Jesus? Are we preaching, teaching and living the same Gospel (Good News) that Jesus the Christ (Messiah)taught?
John 8 28 …. as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things

Does our Gospel bring people into the Kingdom of God here on earth or cause people to blaspheme God?
Romans2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
When we Love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our strength, and with all our mind; and our neighbor as ourselves people are delivered/saved/set free from the captivating kingdom of darkness.
Colossians 1:13-14 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdomof his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
You will notice the focus is on the delivery from darkness into the Kingdom of God which his dear son rules. This is the Gospel Jesus preached, Love God, your neighbor, and to seek first the kingdom of God and believe on Him who is the The perfect reflection of God. In believing on The perfect reflection of God we are having faith in God.
Now that you understand the first part of the Gospel we can now talk about the second part. This portion of the Gospel was hidden from the powers of darkness so that they could not stop it. This is why Jesus did not mention it in detail. The people who had eternal life by Loving God did not loose their eternal life after Jesus died because now the rules of salvation had changed.

The death and resurrection is the engine, which gives power to the Good News of Gods Kingdom here on earth. Without the sacrifice on the cross there is no open door to eternal life (Salvation). Jesus is the Lamb who was slain before the foundation of the earth so that his blood could be applied to all of mankind from the beginning till the end. This is why all who exhibit faith (Love God) are justified in God’s sight. However those who are taught of God and come to the knowledge of the Son then step into his Kingdom. The Kingdom of God; under the direction of Jesus; has power to over come sickness, cast out demons, raise the dead and greater things than Jesus had done on this earth. This is one of the reasons we must send out missionaries. People will be set free from the kingdom of darkness by believing on the Son of God and this will bring them into the Kingdom of God. The other and most important reason is to call them back to God, to repent, and stop them from walking down the wide road of destruction away from their salvation. We must tell them not to reject the salvation, which was provided and given to them. 1John 2:2-6 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Like the prodigal son God has never forsaken mankind and will run to meet them when they return home. All mankind starts out in the Fathers house and then leave it for so called greener pastures. All of mankind are offspring of God the Father and He yearns for their return. When men repent (Turn 180 degrees) they are heading back toward where they had started out from, their point of birth and salvation. All men are already forgiven but if they reject the forgiveness there is no more sacrifice for sin. Now there is a dread of destruction that awaits them. (Hebrews 10:26) For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
(Hebrews 10:27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
(Hebrews 10:28) He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
(Hebrews 10:29) Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
To those who turn back the Father is waiting to place a robe of right standing upon them and the father’s ring of authority. This is the only way the story can makes any sense. Preachers try to make this story sound like it is only for back sliding Christians. Why would Jesus tell such a story of hope to people who were not eligible? Why would he tell them they had a Father in heaven? Should we tell people today that they have a Father in heaven and tell the same story of hope? Or was this story just for the Jews? This Gospel of the prodigal son applies to all people. Those people out in the middle of the jungle were not left to die in their sin. (Would the prodigal son’s Father place him out in some forsaken place to die? It is blasphemy to say that God the Father would do such things. It is not in His nature.) They have the law of God written in their heart with which to love God with the limited understanding they have of Him. (Romans 2:16) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. We are to preach repentance to them who are rejecting the salvation and Jesus the Christ to them who have been searching for the rule of God. (John 3:20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
(John 3:21) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Now this is Good News!

This is the same Gospel that was preached by Moses, Jesus, and Paul with the revelation of the death and resurrection. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and so is His Gospel.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

We must Love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our strength, and with all our mind; and our neighbor our as ourselves in doing this we will inherit eternal life. And this is life eternal, that we might know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent. When we believe on the authority and position of Jesus Christ we enter in the Kingdom of God; and in whom we also have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. All of mankind has been reconciled unto God through the death and resurrection of Jesus, Gods Messiah. We must preach the message of repentance so that men will not reject such a great salvation which was freely given. When men repent they are not turning toward salvation but turning away from their destruction as did the prodigal son.
