Default Was Judas predestined to betray Jesus?

Certainly there is predestination. Hindu Indians make horoscope at birth and it comes true. I witness that truth though I was brought up in an atheist educated Hindu family. It happens because we are a degenerate heaven-fallen people. (Please take time to read my posts). When we are born here , the stars representing demigods (devils to which we sold ourselves while in that degenerated heaven, like Adam and Eve) plots our destiny which is betraying Father, Son and their messengers in various ways and go to perdition thereafter.
But that horoscope is cancelled when one submits himself to Christ. In such cases horoscope’s tragedies never happen. I witness to that also.
Yes, Judas was destined to betray Christ that way. It would have been cancelled if Judas really submitted to Christ, but he never did. Majority people want Christ to be used for their interests, not to be used by him. So their predestination is never cancelled.

Default Point Proven!

I would agree with you a 100% if I didn't believe in a Living God to which all things serve for His Glory, no matter what choice we make of our own free will.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:12

The only predestination to which the gospel of Jesus Christ adheres is that process which creates godly men out of sinners.

Called sanctification by some, it involves a God guided process on the human level. As for the rest, they are relegated to that fate for which they aspire; rebellion against the Most High and ultimate separation from Him for eternity.

Human life is not lived on a celestial railroad track; traveling from one point to another without the ability to swerve from our own path. We live in a world of behavior and consequences. Salvation in Christ by means of the guidance of the Holy Spirit allows us to change the course of our existance.

Judas is not without blame since he freely chose to betray Jesus. Judas got his reward for his behavior. The reader will make his own choices about this, and will reap the consequences for it; good or bad. Choose wisely, choose Christ.

Read these verses again and listen to the words God the Father has purpose and He will always get the glory.

Joh 13:15 `For an example I gave to you, that, according as I did to you, ye also may do;
Joh 13:16 verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him;
Joh 13:17 if these things ye have known, happy are ye, if ye may do them;
Joh 13:18 not concerning you all do I speak; I have known whom I chose for myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with me, did lift up against me his heel.
Joh 13:19 `From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, ye may believe that I am he ;
Joh 13:20 verily, verily, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, doth receive me; and he who is receiving me, doth receive Him who sent me.'
Joh 13:21 These things having said, Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and did testify, and said, `Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you will deliver me up;'
Joh 13:22 the disciples were looking, therefore, one at another, doubting concerning whom he speaketh.
Joh 13:23 And there was one of his disciples reclining (at meat) in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving;
Joh 13:24 Simon Peter, then, doth beckon to this one, to inquire who he may be concerning whom he speaketh,
Joh 13:25 and that one having leant back on the breast of Jesus, respondeth to him, `Sir, who is it?'
Joh 13:26 Jesus answereth, `That one it is to whom I, having dipped the morsel, shall give it;' and having dipped the morsel, he giveth it to Judas of Simon, Iscariot.
Joh 13:27 And after the morsel, then the Adversary entered into that one, Jesus, therefore, saith to him, `What thou dost--do quickly;'
Joh 13:28 and none of those reclining at meat knew for what intent he said this to him,
Joh 13:29 for certain were thinking, since Judas had the bag, that Jesus saith to him, `Buy what we have need of for the feast;' or that he may give something to the poor;
Joh 13:30 having received, therefore, the morsel, that one immediately went forth, and it was night.
Joh 13:31 When, therefore, he went forth, Jesus saith, `Now was the Son of Man glorified, and God was glorified in him;
Joh 13:32 if God was glorified in him, God also will glorify him in Himself; yea, immediately He will glorify him.

In the KJV the word "betray" is used
G3860 paradidōmi
to surrender, that is, yield up, intrust, transmit: - betray, bring forth, cast, commit, deliver (up), give (over, up), hazard, put in prison, recommend.

Peace and Love Through Jesus

i agree...this is a good post...

i would like to add that even when judas discovered his mistake he still had an opportunity to be forgiven but he chose not to use it.....instead he went out and hung himself....his choice to do this also....he just did not have any concept of who Jesus really was.....

"he freely chose to betray Jesus"

Does the below verse speak of "any free choice" of Judas?

Joh 13:27 And after the morsel, then the Adversary entered into that one, Jesus, therefore, saith to him, `What thou dost--do quickly;'

" Judas got his reward for his behavior."

Joh 13:18 not concerning you all do I speak; I have known whom I chose for myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with me, did lift up against me his heel.

Yeah I see how Judas got his reward for his behavior. Judas was used to fulfill prophecy from God.

"The reader will make his own choices "

Joh 15:16 `Ye did not choose out me, but I chose out you

And lets not forget who really makes the choice. As for me since it was God who started all this for His purpose and plan, Ill keep my faith in Him, for the out come of His Work.

Mat 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last, for many are called, and few chosen.'

Either God the Father made the choice for Judas or Judas
chose on his own, and if he did, then Judas overrode God.

Here is a littel note, dont over look where Judas ended up.

How do we know what Judas thought before he ended this life?

Mat 27:3 Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
Mat 27:4 saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou to it.
Mat 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.
