Spook Story

Since we have been talking about demons and spooks a little bit I’ll share a story with you. When I was teen I played quite a bit of Dungeons and Dragons. It was the D&D heyday back then and the game was popular among my age group. I had the right interest and aptitude to play the role of Dungeon Master and I had my little group of victims that I would let come over to get kicked around in the dungeons I was creating for the game. We played two or three times a week. Nothing crazy, it was all just on paper along with some tabletop props.

Anyway I had a pretty good job for a kid and I was able to move into my own little apartment in an old house shortly before I turned 18. This of course led to D&D sessions at the apartment on a regular basis and at every opportunity I would have members of my D&D group spend the night.

In part this was because being in the apartment by myself at night gave me the creeps. It was weird because that is so not me. But I attributed it to being by myself for the first time and some substance abuse paranoia which I shrugged off. But what I experienced was the feeling that I was not alone in that apartment and was being watched by an evil presence. It was always there and I felt this presence in that apartment the entire time I lived there. After I moved out I lived in a couple of other places locally and this presence continued to be with me until I moved out of state for about a year. Once I was away the presence was gone and that was it.

Here’s the creepy part. Over the course of several years afterward everyone who spent the night at my apartment came to me and expressed that they experienced this feeling of being watched by an evil presence and they all found staying at my apartment frightening. They told me about it one by one in private and to my knowledge had not discussed it with anyone else.

In addition during this period of time I had two nightmares during which I saw beings that I knew were demons. They were dressed in brown mid evil type robes and they were so black that I couldn’t make out the features on their faces. In the first nightmare I saw three of them and in the second nightmare there were five of them.

Over the years I have came to believe that my running of the D&D game opened the door for demonic activity in the areas in which I played the game. In my version of D&D there were no gods because I was philosophically opposed to using them. In their place I instituted the arch-devils named in the two monster manuals for the original advanced D&D game.

D&D was a blast for me because my character was a Christian Knight beating up all the demons.
Come on people! There has got to be more spook stories. Look at this as though we are sitting around the glow of a camp fire as we tell spook stories. In stead we are sitting around the glow of our monitors.

My spook story takes place when I was a teenager (a couple of years ago).
I was in my bed room and my brother was in his and between our rooms is the bathroom at the top of the stairway. I heard voices and heavy foot steps coming up the stairs. I knew every board that creaked on the stairway. I used to avoid those steps when sneaking around the house. Well these foot steps hit very squeaking step and finally made ti to the top of the stairway and walked into the bathroom. Then there was this awful crash as the lid of the toilet tank came crashing down. I jumped up and ran out my door only to see my brother run out his door and both of us looked in the bath room. I said to him "Was that you who came up the steps?" and he said "No! Was that you?". I said "NOOO! What happened?". We looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders. Every once in a while I would hear those foot steps and voices and just ignore them. OOOooohhHHHOOoo!

LOL (spook stories) ..I know it is not fun..when you dealin with the spook..but it seems funny to listen to now!!! PTL we can laugh in triumph..over our enemy !!! (lol)

I had a few experiances years ago. The worst when my wife June and I had an identical nightmare or visitation. This elf like thing was comming up the stairs. We could both see it through the wall. Our voices went, from my mouth came only a jumble of meaningless words. The thing came into our bedroom and stood leering at us from the door, we were petrified. Suddenly I was able to say. In the name of Jesus go. It fled downstairs I followed it into our pantry where it vanished. This has not happened since. The frightening thing is that we were both experianced believers when it happened.

I`ve had demonic encounters in several dreams over the years. I do not believe they are just ordinary nightmares which is something I rarely have.

I don't know if this is a spooky story or not.

I was walking down the hallway one day and suddenly I collapsed as in bounded with a paralysing electrical current, And a voice spoke to me in a nefarious way, it said " I'll get you at the end and it would laugh with this nefarious pitch over and over again". I couldn't move I could here myself calling out for help but nobody herd me, I was completely dominated by this force. Then I ask the lord to help me and the evil left me, My hole body felt dead, it took a long while to recover my strength to get up and walk again. This remains with me as it was yesterday.
This dwells in my mind everday.

These are things that are difficult to explain. Do they somehow come from within or perhaps from our gene history, the past?? Two question marks for two questions. Forgot the first. Or are they a response to some evil thoughts or actions close by, ours or others? Are they attacks by demons, entities? These are genuine questions. Dave.

I think evil thoughts attracts and opens the door to intentions of others and demons,
At this point what happen to me I would think it would be from the past, only because it spoke, as it knew me by saying I'll will get you at the end repetitively. It was diffidently a force of some kind or kinds by the drawing of energy or paralysing by energy.

Rodger, thanks for that. yes there are two kinds of force, energies, pitted against each other. The force for good, God, and the force for evil, satan. We know the winner but are subjected to the attacks of the hatred, in every way. Great that The Lord is our strong tower. Dave.
