Was James Dobson right

Last week Mr. Dobson prayed and asked for his ministry to pray for a storm to wash out Sen. Obama's speech at the Democratic convention. Was this following the Golden Rule? I am confused because it seems Mr. Dobson would not want to be washed out himself.

Now the lord has delivered a storm in the gulf which is taking attention away from the Republican Convention, which seems like a strange irony. And another hurricane, Hannah, is predicted to hit the east coast later this week. Again diverting attention from the Republicans.

What is happening here?

I read an article sometime back that predicts that we will be seeing severe hurricanes for years to come. It`s all part of a long term weather cycle.

I personally believe that the hurricanes are part of a series of divine judgements coming against this country that have nothing to do with Mr. Dobson`s prayer.

I also think it inappropiate for a man of God to pray for such a catastrophe to occur.
