Default Have You Prayed For Our President?

Have you prayed for our president?

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

1 Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

No!

Thanks larry. I let politics get in the way too much. I want to blame Fox and O'Reilly but I'm a socialist.

Leaving his religion out of it, O'Reilly is a good guy, he tries to be honest, and tell it like it is.

Fox is fair and balanced, I used to laugh somewhat when they would say that, but then I watched a little of the other, like Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, and Rachel Meadows at MSNBC, and I found that compared to others, Fox is fair and balanced.

Soj.

Beck's on Fox isn't he? He's a bit wild and quite unbalanced it seems. Hannity's ok alone and I haven't heard of Hannah.
O'Reilly is a good presenter and I like the way he cuts to the nub of the question. He doesn't bring his religion in very often either.
I stopped watching CNN some years ago when, was it Dan Ravers, they sent reports out of Bagdad that they knew to be false?

I'm not sure I know how to pray for political leaders. I do pray for our forces but only for victory over our enemies. I can pray for a win but I'm not sure I can pray for peace.

johnnycool - I'm not sure I know how to pray for political leaders. I do pray for our forces but only for victory over our enemies. I can pray for a win but I'm not sure I can pray for peace.

larry - Hi Johnny, praying for our leaders might be such as Daniel said of Nebuchadnezzar in "Daniel 6:21. "Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. Daniel did not always do as the king requested, and God does not give us leave of His word. Daniel had to go the Lion's den for his sin, but God shut the lion's mouths.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did not obey Nebuchadnezzar's orders to bow to his golden image, and God allowed them to go to the fiery furnace, but again as with Daniel, God was with them in that furnace. With God we are to give unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar; honor unto whom honor is due that we might lead a peaceable life. Like many, I have no idea whether President Obama is a Christian or not, but I know God's word is true, and I am to pray for him as well as our other leaders. I do pray he will become a Christian if he is not already. I pray that God leads him in His will for our country, even if it is to wax worse. I pray that he as well as his family are protected. When I pray as God has told me to do, I am in agreement with God.

As an answer, I have no judgment against any who exercise their right to vote, and there may be certain money spending proposals you would want to go to defeat, but I do know Who puts those in power that are in power.

larry - But have you obeyed God and prayed for him? I do hope you realize that it is God Who put him where he is.

Romans 13:1-2 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God

God may have "allowed" it to happen, but God did not purposely put him there. Obama is an abomination: He supports the murder of babies by abortion and he supports the abomination of same-sex unions.

My only prayer is that he will not be re-elected.
